Local small auto parts suppliers are likely to face business closures by the end of next month if the government ignores their pleas and the automotive industry outlook worsens.
"The tier 2 and 3 [subcontractor] suppliers, mostly wholly Thai-owned businesses, now stand at the precipice of collapse and will go bankrupt soon if lifelines are not given in time," said Prasartsilp On-aht, president of the Thai Auto Parts Manufacturers Association.
